Fes to Merzouga via Azrou, Midelt and the Ziz Valley
- Depart from Fes at 8 o'clock and travel via Azrou, where you will see Barbary apes in the forests of the Middle Atlas. Pass through Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," and stop in the cedar forests of Azrou to hand-feed the monkeys.
- Have lunch in Midelt, the "apple capital," then continue over the Tizi-n-Talgoumt Pass and through the Ziz Valley, which is particularly well known for its palm trees and the length of its oasis. Along the road, you will see innumerable "ksars," small villages made up of individual houses.
- Reach Er Rachidia and Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. In the afternoon, prepare for your camel departure.
- Once at the bivouac, take a camel ride to watch the sunset from the top of the dunes.
Dinner and overnight stay in tents at the camp.
