One of three "I-Monuments", created by the artist Hans Traxler in the style called Komische Kunst, or "comic art", meant as a critique to the pedestals of illustrious people in history, but instead of a statue it sits empty. The topic of this is “Every person is unique”, where every person fotographed on it becomes a monument themselves.One of the largest city squares in Germany, constructed in the 18th century and named after Landgrave Friedrich II of Hesse-Kassel. Here you'll learn about the city's foundation, the Landgraviate of Hesse, the Kingdom of Westphalia, the Austro-Prussian War and the city during World War II.You will learn about the old fortifications of Kassel, that was demolished in the 18th century. It is one of two surviving towers of the city walls.
