Experience one of Rio de Janeiro’s most distinctive nightlife traditions at the Baile de Charme de Madureira. Born in the 1980s from Saturday night gatherings of street vendors dancing to contemporary black music, this event grew into a beloved local celebration where people of all ages come together to dance, sing, and enjoy the atmosphere.

At Viaduto de Madureira, part of the street transforms into an open-air dance hall dedicated to charme — a musical style shaped by African American soul and funk alongside Afro-Brazilian influences. With entrance, roundtrip transfer, and a driver/guide included, this is an easy and memorable way to experience an authentic side of Rio after dark.
