The itinerary

Day 01

From Quito to the Rainforest and a Night Jungle Walk

  • Departure from Quito to the rainforest (shared transportation).
  • On the way, you can stop for photography at Antisana Volcano.
  • Arrive at the Eco-Lodge near Misahualli Port (Monkey's Beach).
  • Welcome lunch.
  • Jungle hike with a native guide.
  • Floating down the river.
  • Dinner.
  • Night walk.
  • Jungle lodging.

Day 02

Napo River Wildlife and Kichwa Cultural Encounters

  • After breakfast, continue your journey by motorized canoe to visit:
    • Animal Rescue Center.
    • Anaconda Island, followed by a walk to the Caiman Lagoon, where you can observe the prehistoric bird "Hoatzin," woolly monkeys, and squirrel monkeys, just to name a few.
  • Box lunch.
  • Time to enjoy a cultural activity with an Amazonian Kichwa community, where you will learn about their way of life, their interaction with the jungle, and share the famous "chicha," a fermented yucca drink. To support the daily life of the indigenous people, you can also buy some handicrafts.
  • Ceramic craft workshop.
  • Return to the Eco-Lodge.
  • Dinner and lodging.

Day 03

Organic Chocolate Experience and Tour Finish in Tena

  • After breakfast, learn how to make organic chocolate.
  • Enjoy the Chocolate Route experience.
  • Check out of the Eco-Lodge.
  • Transfer to Tena City.

Tena offers some of Ecuador's best rafting and kayaking, surrounded by lush rainforests and rivers.

The tour ends in Tena City. This city is ideal for continuing your journey south through Ecuador without returning to Quito. It is well-suited for making the famous loop from Quito to the Amazon and Baños (or the reverse).

  • To ensure a smooth departure from Quito, we must coordinate the pickup address and time effectively.
  • The lodge is constantly working to protect the pristine environment surrounding it. The changes introduced through 2020 reinforce its focus on sustainability and preserving the overall well-being of the Amazon Rainforest.
  • You can conclude your journey in the captivating city of Baños on Tungurahua or return to Quito Airport or the city itself.
