Day 01

Barra District and Salvador's Historic Center

  • Start the tour at Farol da Barra, enjoying the spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the entrance to the bay.
  • Then make your way up Ladeira da Barra, where you will reach the upscale neighbourhood of Vitória.
  • Pass through Campo Grande Square and its famous monument to Dois de Julho.
  • Reach the top of the Upper City, where the Portuguese built the first capital of Brazil.
  • View the bay and its islands from Municipal Square. Enjoy some free time for lunch.
