The itinerary

Day 01

Barra District and Salvador's Historic Center

Start the tour at Farol da Barra, enjoying the spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the entrance to the bay.
Then make your way up Ladeira da Barra, where you will reach the upscale neighbourhood of Vitória.
Pass through Campo Grande Square and its famous monument to Dois de Julho.
Reach the top of the Upper City, where the Portuguese built the first capital of Brazil.
View the bay and its islands from Municipal Square. Enjoy some free time for lunch.
Then walk around and visit the other squares: Sé Square, Jesus Square, where you will visit the Basilica Cathedral, Saint Francis Square, where you will visit the famous Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, and Pelourinho Square, where the Jorge Amado Foundation and the Church of Rosary of the Black Men are located.
