The itinerary

Day 01

Panoramic Views and Afro-Brazilian Heritage in Salvador

  • We will start our tour at the Lighthouse of Barra, with an incredible view of the Bay of All Saints, Itaparica Island, and the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Along 7th of September Avenue, we will go up Ladeira da Barra and stop for a stunning view where you will feel the contrasts of Salvador.
  • Visit the Victoria Corridor, Campo Grande Square, and the Piedade neighbourhood.
  • Driving along the old financial district, we will head to the Lower City to visit Bonfim Church, with its colourful ribbons that represent the faith of the Bahian people.
  • Stop at Ponta do Humaitá and Montserrat Fort, and enjoy a great view of the old city from here.
  • Back in the car, we will drive to Dique de Tororó to see the sculptures of the orixás, African deities of Candomblé, as well as a panoramic view of the soccer stadium, Arena Fontenova.
  • It will then be time to get out of the car and take the Lacerda Elevator into Pelourinho, where we will visit the Cathedral and Saint Francis Church, and stroll along the alleys and squares to engage with the local culture.
