Explore Škofja Loka's Historic Heart

  • Meet your guide at the Skofja Loka Bus Station and head to the Castle Plateau, where you will see a typical house from the Middle Ages and enjoy the splendid surrounding views.
  • You will then walk down to the town square to marvel at the beautiful architecture and listen to intriguing stories from the past. The town has two main squares, Main Square and Lower Square, and an African man on its coat of arms. Škofja Loka also hosts a famous Passion Play every six years, depicting the life of Jesus Christ.
  • Your guide will then introduce you to the perfect blend of Gothic and Baroque architectural styles at the Church of Saint Jacob, designed by Jože Plečnik.
