Quito City Tour and Cruz Loma Cable Car Experience
- Pick up by the Quito tour guide at 09h30 from the hotel and head to the viewpoint of Cruz Loma (4,100 m.a.s.l.) on the Pichincha volcano.
- Take a cable car ride lasting 15 to 20 minutes each way, depending on the atmospheric conditions.
- Ascend from 3,045 meters above sea level to 4,100 meters at the top (around 12,500 feet).
- Enjoy a beautiful view of Quito and, if the weather helps, admire the amazing snowcapped volcanoes of Cotopaxi (5,898), Antisana (5,753), and Cayambe (5,790).
- In the afternoon, continue to the historical center of Quito, the first World Cultural Heritage Site designated by UNESCO in 1978.
- Before starting the walk, stop for a drink or a small lunch.
- Pass through Independence Square, the scene of many dramatic revolutionary battles in the history of the Republic of Ecuador.
- Visit the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, the Church of the Society of Jesus of Quito - considered the summit of Latin American Baroque - the charming neighbourhood of La Ronda, and the Church and Convent of San Francisco, built in 1535.
- Return to the hotel at 16h00.
