Day 01

Quito City Tour and Cruz Loma Cable Car Experience

Pick up by the Quito tour guide at 09h30 from the hotel and head to the viewpoint of Cruz Loma (4,100 m.a.s.l.) on the Pichincha volcano.
Take a cable car ride lasting 15 to 20 minutes each way, depending on the atmospheric conditions.
Ascend from 3,045 meters above sea level to 4,100 meters at the top (around 12,500 feet).
Enjoy a beautiful view of Quito and, if the weather helps, admire the amazing snowcapped volcanoes of Cotopaxi (5,898), Antisana (5,753), and Cayambe (5,790).
In the afternoon, continue to the historical center of Quito, the first World Cultural Heritage Site designated by UNESCO in 1978.
Before starting the walk, stop for a drink or a small lunch.
Pass through Independence Square, the scene of many dramatic revolutionary battles in the history of the Republic of Ecuador.
Visit the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, the Church of the Society of Jesus of Quito - considered the summit of Latin American Baroque - the charming neighbourhood of La Ronda, and the Church and Convent of San Francisco, built in 1535.
