Kimono Culture Session in Sapporo
- Connect with your tour guide in Sapporo to begin the program.
- Get introduced to traditional Japanese kimono in the guide's Japanese-style room.
- See several types of kimono, including Tomesode, the most formal black kimono worn by married women, and Furisode, with its long sleeves worn by single women, among others.
- In the first half of the session, your guide will explain the features of each type of kimono and share important points to consider when choosing a type of kimono.
- You will also see your guide's family photographs featuring different types of kimono during the session.
- In the second half, watch a demonstration of how to put on a kimono in the Japanese-style room.
- Make yourself familiar with Japanese culture through a deeper understanding of kimono culture.
