Day by day
Meet your tour guide in Quito at 9:00 am and head to Cotopaxi National Park and the refuge center. Stop for lunch along the way, and keep an eye out for wildlife such as the Andean fox, Andean puma, and guanacos, among other species.
Put on your gear and take part in a glacier training course with your guide before dinner. Afterwards, rest until midnight in preparation for the summit climb.
Begin the climb to the summit at approximately 1:00 am. It will take about five hours to reach the top, and the descent takes approximately two to three hours.
After the climb, return to Quito at around 2:00 pm.

Cotopaxi was once worshipped by Ecuador's ancient civilizations and was thought to be the bringer of rain and prosperous crops. The summit of Cotopaxi was considered to be where God resided. It was first climbed in 1872, and the ascent has only become more popular since then.
