Sightseeing in Cortona and Montepulciano
- Your professional driver-escort will pick you up at your hotel or another chosen location (B&B or private flat) and will take you to discover the Tuscan countryside.
- Stop in Cortona and explore the town (1.5 hrs). Cortona is a traditional walled Etruscan town, sitting at about 600 metres above sea level; it offers spectacular views over the surrounding valley and Lake Trasimeno. The main things to seek out in the town center are - Piazza della Repubblica, Cortona's Historical Center, Cortona's pretty medieval streets, Piazza Signorelli and Cortona's beautiful shops.
- Later we will drive 'till Montepulciano to visit the "Underground Wonders" of the town.
- We will explore the town's main square, the old Government Palace and two Historic Cellars: here, you will find gigantic oak barrels, in which the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and the Rosso di Montepulciano DOC "rest". Montepulciano will have two wine tasting experiences in two different cellars with lunch included.
