The itinerary

Day 01

Chinchero, Maras Moray and Salt Mines Tour

• At 8:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the adventure to Chinchero.
• Upon arrival in Chinchero at 3780 m.a.s.l., we will visit its traditional market and learn about its culture and handicrafts.
• Then we will head to the circular terraces of Maras Moray on a colourful journey through very typical villages and beautiful landscapes. Moray is a set of huge concentric terraces that overlap inside a giant hole. These beautiful terraces served in Inca times as an agricultural laboratory, a "greenhouse prototype".
• Finally, we will visit the salt mines, located northwest of the village of Maras, which consist of about 2000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m2. They have been used since Inca and colonial times and are still used by the locals today.
• After our visit, we will return to the city of Cusco.
