Sea of Galilee Sacred Sites and Lakeside Journey
- Meet your tour guide at your hotel in Nazareth (or elsewhere, as agreed) and start your tour.
- Drive to the mountain where the Lord gave his famous sermon, which became the new Mt. Sinai as he renewed the Covenant with the entire Nation of God. This is Mt. Beatitudes, a wild area next to Capernaum where Jesus made his statement to mankind: "You are the salt of the earth" - Matthew 5:13 - giving you the great reason for his endless love.
- Visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, a place with a long history that early Christians identified as the site of one of the miracles mentioned in all four Gospels. It is also the place marking the beginning of Jesus's ministry, when he called Peter and his friends to become fishers of men. Stand in front of the renewed church and discuss what this event means for us, then enter the church to see the famous 5th-century mosaic.
- Go to St. Peter's Primacy Church. Any beginning shall have an end, but any end is also a beginning: Jesus appears to his disciples early in the morning after his resurrection to meet Peter and ask him, "Do you love me?" - a question directed to each and every one of us.
- Drive to Capernaum to walk through the ruins and synagogue used by Jesus to bring his message to humanity. Stop by the House of Peter and remember the many events that took place in Capernaum.
- Make your way back through Magdala, a tiny fishermen's town, and stand in front of the exact same 1st-century synagogue to absorb the reality of the days of Jesus on earth.
- A unique boat ride will take you along the shore of this wonderful lake. Enjoy the natural view and the various sights along the way.
- Continue to the River Jordan at Yardenit and stop by the same river where Jesus was baptized. You also have the chance to dip in its waters.
- Summarize the day and drive back to your hotel with some thoughts on your life on earth.
