Frankfurt Old Town, Alte Oper and Cathedral Tour

  • Pick up from the airport and drive in my car to visit the Alte Oper. Frankfurt's original opera house is now the Alte Oper, a concert hall and former opera house in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was inaugurated in 1880, destroyed by bombs in 1944, rebuilt slowly in the 1970s, and reopened in 1981.

  • Go to the top of the Galleria for a bird's-eye view of the city and grab a snack, such as a bratwurst, a type of German sausage made from veal, beef, or, most commonly, pork, along the way.

  • Visit the old Roman square, located in front of the Römer building complex, the seat of the Frankfurt city administration since the 15th century, and visit the nearby Frankfurt Cathedral, or the Imperial Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew. This Roman Catholic Gothic church is located in the center of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew and is the largest religious building in the city, as well as a former collegiate church.

  • Walk through the Old Town, explore the history of Franconofurt, and learn about the city's first appearance at a glance.

  • Have a traditional meal in guest houses, return to the train station, and board a train for the airport.
