Day 01

From Quito to Baños with Rafting and a Chiva Ride

  • 07:00 - Pick up from your hotel in Quito and drive to Baños. Enjoy sightseeing on the way. Located at the foot of the Tungurahua volcano, Baños is a mystical town of waterfalls, hot springs, and miracles, with much to offer visitors.

  • 11:00 - Arrive in Baños, check in at the hotel, and go for a city tour.

  • 12:30 - Have lunch.

  • 14:00 to 19:00 - Go for rafting activities.

  • 20:00 - Have dinner.

  • 21:00 - Enjoy a Chiva ride, a bus tour to the Tungurahua volcano. Tungurahua is an active stratovolcano in the Cordillera Oriental of Ecuador that almost constantly emits gas and vapour. The volcano gives its name to the province of Tungurahua. Volcanic activity restarted on August 19, 1999, with several major eruptions since then.

Day 02

Bike the Waterfalls Route to Pailón del Diablo

  • 08:00 - Have breakfast at the hotel.

  • 09:30 - Proceed on a bike tour through the waterfalls route and visit the "Pailón del Diablo". Pailón del Diablo, or Devil's Cauldron, is a waterfall on the Río Pastaza, a tributary in the upper Amazon River Basin. You can try several adventure sports here, including zip-lining or bridge jumping. You can also walk to the volcano viewpoint and take a bike tour from the Pondoa community to Baños instead of the waterfalls route.

  • 14:00 to 15:00 - Have lunch.

  • 16:00 - Return to the hotel and check out.

  • 17:00 - Depart for Quito.
