Fortaleza
The tour begins by departing from the passengers' hotel in the direction of Mundaú Beach, 154 kilometers from Fortaleza, in a journey of approximately two hours.
The road is mostly made by the coastal road: on one side you can see the sea and the huge area of the beach, where it is possible to see the traditional fish pens, which rescue the culture of the ancient way of fishing. On the other side, coconut trees and dunes complete the scenery of the trip.
Mundau Beach
The natural beauty of the beach calls attention for having been very little exploited by man. A very characteristic feature of the region are the semi-crystallized dunes, which have a darker color and give the impression of being superimposed by stones. The exuberant nature is, without a doubt, the main attraction of this beach.
Mundaú also has a fishing village and the Mundaú River, which generates a mangrove area with a wide variety of animals.
The few changes made by humans in the place include the construction of an adequate infrastructure to receive tourists, with bathrooms and showers, as well as ecological boat rides on the river.
The stay in the place is approximately five hours before returning to the hotel.
