The itinerary

Day 01

San Domenico, Via Francigena and Piazza del Campo

Meet your guide at the church of San Domenico.
Visit the church and see the relics of Santa Caterina da Siena.
Continue the tour along Via Francigena, stopping at Piazza Salimbeni and Piazza Tolomei to talk about the history of the families who lived in these magnificent palaces, beautiful examples of Gothic style.
Walk to Cathedral Square and visit the Cathedral from the outside, and possibly from the inside as well (extra entry fee).
End the tour in Piazza del Campo, the very centre of the city.
Admire the Town Hall, Palazzo Pubblico, and the fountain, and talk about the Palio horse race while watching a video located in the courtyard of the Town Hall.
