Itinerary

1. Day 1 : Arrive at Anata

   • Pick up from the hotel at 4:00 am.
   • Drive 3 hours to the trailhead. Carefully pack the gears near the trailhead while the chef prepares a hot breakfast.
   • Begin the trek in a large green valley. See hundreds of alpacas, local farmers, and the beautiful Ausangate Mountain towering high above.
   • Continue on the trail, and conquer the first pass of the trek, the Pucacocha pass. At around 4876mt, the pass sits just above Pucacocha Lake, and the massive Ausangate Mountain is directly in front of you.  
   • After a successful climb, stop around noon to eat lunch and recharge our bodies for the hike's remainder.
   • Reach Anata, the destination for the night, and enjoy a beautiful evening surrounded by the jaw-dropping landscape at the base of the Andes Mountains. 
   • As the sun sets, prepare for dinner with the group.
   • Enjoy an unforgettable night sky full of constellations and shooting stars while having coca tea or hot chocolate made from Peruvian chocolate.

   Hiking time: 5-6 hours

2. Day 2 : Trek to Rainbow mountain

   • Wake up early between 4 am - 5 am, with coca tea being delivered in the tent. 
   • Have a hearty breakfast and start the climb to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). 
   • Upon arrival, take all the time you want soaking in the amazing 360-degree vistas of the surrounding lands and explore the mountain itself. 
   • Take the hike down that will take about three hours, and have lunch.
   • Depart back to Cusco (3 hours).

   Elevation: 5000m-5200m-4200m

   Hiking time: 6-7 hours
