Day 01

Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey and Chiusure Visit

• Visit the monastic complex, still inhabited today by Olivetan Benedictine monks, who welcome visitors with their herbalist's shop located at the entrance. Here, you will find natural body care products made by the monks themselves.
• Visit the precious library, a place where monks wrote, studied, and decorated books.
• Before leaving this place of peace, go to see the Abbey's wine cellar. Large oak barrels are kept in this wonderful cellar, which contains wine produced in the area. On request, it is possible to organize a wine tasting.
• At the end, continue the visit to Chiusure, one of the most picturesque villages of the Crete Senesi.
