Day 01

Explore Florence's Historic Heart

Discover the story of the Medici family as we pass through the neighbourhood where they once lived and where their palace still stands: San Lorenzo.
Head to Piazza del Duomo, where the stunning Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry of Saint John the Baptist are located.
Continue with a pleasant walk through the medieval area to learn more about life during the Middle Ages and see the medieval houses and towers.
Visit Piazza della Signoria, the political centre of Florence. The square is a true open-air museum, with a government palace decorated with incredible statues.
Walk through the Uffizi courtyard to reach the Arno River. Here, we will cross a unique bridge: Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge), known as the goldsmiths' bridge.
