Day 01
Antisana Ecological Reserve, La Mica Lagoon and Condor Viewpoint
- Meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby at 8:00 a.m. and begin the tour. Enjoy a one-hour drive to the Antisana Ecological Reserve, located in the southeastern area of Quito. This magical park has more than 300,000 acres of pure life and nature in the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes, and the impressive Antisana Volcano is the fourth-highest mountain in Ecuador.
- Visit the beautiful lake known as La Mica. After a brief explanation with pictures, go for a hike around the lagoon for approximately two and a half hours, although it could be shorter depending on the weather conditions.
- Enjoy a box lunch while admiring the Andean landscape on this circuit, with chances to spot Andean birds, including condors, as well as foxes, deer, and much more.
- Return to the parking area, where your transport will be waiting to take you down to El Condor Viewpoint, the place where you can admire and see wild condors in flight.
- Return to your hotel in Quito.
