Rucu Pichincha Volcano Trek and Summit Hike
Meet at the Cristobal Colon monument, located at the corner of Avenida América and Luis Mosquera Narváez. You can find it behind the provisional metro station that runs from north to south.
Once the whole group is complete, begin this beautiful hike.
Buy your tickets and head up toward the summit of Rucu Pichincha. Depending on your physical condition, stop at specific points along the way to catch your breath.
After about an hour and a half, arrive at the Bear Cave and prepare for the final hour of hiking by drinking water and eating something that gives you energy. During this part of the hike, see different kinds of plants and animals that add a magical view to the experience.
Pause again once you arrive at the mountain's rocky base, then begin the final walk to the summit.
Take pictures at the summit and enjoy the solitude of the mountain and nature. The hike can take at least three or more hours to reach the summit and around two hours to return to the cable car station.
Return to the Cable Car station, where your transportation will be ready to take you home.
