Quito Old Town, Equator Line and TelefériQo Experience
Early in the morning, we will start our city tour at El Panecillo viewpoint to admire Quito's wonders from above. We will then walk for two hours through the highlights of the old city, visiting San Francisco Church, Compañia de Jesús Church, and Sagrario Church, located on "Calle de la Siete Cruces" or Garcia Moreno Street.
Next, we will visit the Presidential Palace lobby at Quito's Main Square. To finish our visit downtown, we will stop at the first Gothic church of Ecuador, Basílica del Voto Nacional, considered the highest church in the city. This is another beautiful viewpoint from which to observe "The Avenue of the Volcanoes."
We will then drive towards the Equator Line Museum, where you will have the chance to take a memorable picture with one foot in each hemisphere and discover much more about Ecuador's history and culture.
Finally, we will visit the cable car, or TelefériQo, for a journey to the base of Rucu Pichincha volcano, another of Quito's must-see viewpoints. Update: at the moment, the cable car is closed due to technical problems, and there is no reopening date, so it may not be possible to visit it.
