• Colosseum. Completed in 80 AD, it is the biggest amphitheatre in the world. Although partly ruined by natural causes, it remains the iconic representative of Roman architecture.

• Roman Forum. Originally considered a marketplace by the ancient Romans, this plaza is surrounded by the important buildings of the ancient Roman government.

• Palatine Hill. Situated at the central point of the Seven Hills of Rome and home to a large open-air museum, it is one of the most ancient parts of the city.
