The Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC) is a Brazilian contemporary art museum located in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The work was inaugurated on September 2, 1996. Designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, the MAC became one of the postcards of Niterói. It is mainly intended for works belonging to contemporary Brazilian art from the 1950s until today. The museum has a collection of 1,217 works from the João Sattamini Collection. [1] A collection assembled since the 1950s by the collector João Sattamini, constituting the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.Icaraí Beach is a beach located in the district of Icaraí, in the municipality of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is the most famous beach in the city. It is located in Guanabara Bay. It usually hosts public events, such as the traditional New Year fireworks show. It includes two rock formations that are symbols of the city: the Stone of Itapuca and the Pedra do Índio, as well as two important art-style buildings décor: the Cinema Icaraí and the Rectory of the Fluminense Federal University.The São Francisco Beach is approximately 750 meters long with many grasses and almond trees, it has calm waters and its sand is fine and white.
