The Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói (MAC) is a Brazilian contemporary art museum located in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The work was inaugurated on September 2, 1996. Designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, the MAC became one of the postcards of Niterói. It is mainly intended for works belonging to contemporary Brazilian art from the 1950s until today. The museum has a collection of 1,217 works from the João Sattamini Collection. [1] A collection assembled since the 1950s by the collector João Sattamini, constituting the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.Icaraí Beach is a beach located in the district of Icaraí, in the municipality of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
