Day 01
Tangier Medina and Kasbah Walking Tour
- Pick up from your chosen location and transfer to Mershan, a neighbourhood located west of the medina, full of mansions and pristine palaces.
- As you stroll through its streets, discover the historical Phoenician Necropolis, which dates back to the 4th and 1st centuries B.C.
- Find yourself in the Kasbah, surrounded by white houses.
- Walk through several narrow and quiet streets to discover the marvellous Kasbah Mosque, the ancient Sultan's palace, the spectacular Kasbah Museum of Moroccan antiquities, and the tomb of the city's traveller, pilgrim, explorer, and ambassador, Ibn Battouta.
- From there, admire some of the most frequently visited places in Tangier, including the Grand Socco and the former residence of the Mendoub, the Sultan's representative in the city.
- After this visit, dive into the walls of a 15th-century Portuguese fortress in the medina, with charming, twisted, narrow streets painted in a riot of colours.
- Enjoy the opportunity to walk with locals and see Tangier's hidden treasures, such as a community oven and the local market, full of meat, flowers, fruits, vegetables, and colourful spices, for a taste of the natural domestic flavour of Tangier.
