Day 01

Leshan Giant Buddha, Old Town and Tea Plantation Experience

After greeting you at your hotel, take a 2.5-hour drive to the Giant Buddha of Leshan for an unforgettable panoramic view of the Buddha.
Continue with a 40-minute drive to a laid-back old town. Roam around the town and see how traditional lifestyles have survived modernisation. Along the way, visit traditional workshops such as blacksmith shops, bamboo workshops, and barbershops.
Chat and share stories with lovely local people in an old teahouse.
Later, drop by one of the hundred-year-old courtyard houses and meet its proud owners.
Take a short drive up into the mountain.
Follow a tea farmer to a tea field, where you will learn a lot about growing tea, including how to pick the best tea sprouts and tea buds. Afterwards, proceed to a family tea business to see the process of making different kinds of tea. Have a seat in front of the farmhouse and enjoy a cup of tea.
Try the local speciality of a wood-fire cooked lunch in the countryside before the end of the trip.
