Day 01

Padua Landmarks Walking Tour

Start with a walk through the picturesque streets, arriving at the Scrovegni's Chapel, home to Giotto's masterpiece. The lives of Jesus and the Virgin Mary are told through Giotto's newly created style of painting, based on narration and emotion, in one of the first attempts to depict feelings, nature, and people in a fresco.
Continue to the Church of the Eremitani to admire one of the first works by the young Andrea Mantegna. Attached to the church is an ancient monastery that today houses the municipal art gallery.
