After lunch, visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the world's largest stone Buddha Maitreya.
Return to your accommodation in Chengdu.
Begin your day with a visit to Du Fu Caotang, a museum dedicated to the Tang dynasty poet Du Fu in a reconstructed thatched hut. Learn about Du Fu's life and his significance in the history of Chinese literature and poetry, and admire the western Sichuan style of garden architecture.
Head to Wenshu Monastery, the largest Buddhist temple in Chengdu, to experience Chinese Buddhist culture.
Enjoy sweet water noodles and other Sichuan specialities for lunch.
Make your way to Taikoo Li to visit Chengdu's most popular bookstore, Fangsuo.
Go to People's Park to taste Chengdu Jasmine Tea and observe and understand the daily lives of Chengdu locals.
You may optionally visit the Sichuan Opera at night.
