Arrival in Srinagar and Dal Lake Shikara Ride
Arrive at Srinagar Airport/Railway Station, meet your tour representative, and enjoy an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel.
Check in, settle in, and rest at the hotel. On the banks of the Jhelum River, amidst a plethora of colourful flowers, lies Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir. Dry fruits, Kashmiri handicrafts, shikaras, and wooden mosques are a few of the things that make Srinagar nothing less than a paradise. Vast stretches of the Himalayas outline the borders of the city in epic grandeur.
In the evening, take a shikara ride on Dal Lake with your Indian tour guide. As the second-largest lake in Kashmir, Dal Lake is very popular in India and beyond. Its banks are lined with blooming Mughal-era gardens, hotels, and hamlets. With the Himalayas in the backdrop and the gentle gurgles of the lake, this houseboat-cruising experience is truly unforgettable.
Further, enjoy a smooth stroll through Chashmi-e Shahi (Royal Spring), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), and Nishat (Garden of Pleasure), located in the Mughal Gardens. Nishat Park, the second-largest garden in the Kashmir Valley, has 12 terraces with spectacular details. Chashmi-e Shahi is exquisitely crafted with an Iranian theme, and the park design is inspired by Persian gardens. The spring flowing down in terraces is a special attraction, and this marvel is not to be missed.
Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
