Inishowen Peninsula Castles, Forts, and Malin Head
Begin the trip at Grianán of Aileach after pickup from the hotel, an ancient ring fort where you will be able to see a 360-degree panoramic view of Lough Swilly, Lough Foyle, and the Inishowen Peninsula on a clear day.
See St. Mura's Cross in Fahan, O'Dougherty's Keep, and Carrickabraghey Castle. Also visit the military Fort of Dunree, where you will take a guided tour of the visitor centre and see the cannons and artillery used in our not-so-distant past.
Between each stop, enjoy breathtaking views and hidden gems known only to the locals.
Complete the day by standing at Malin Head, the most northerly point of Ireland, followed by a coastal drive through Moville, taking in views of Lough Foyle where many of Donegal's ancestors waved their final goodbye.
