Day 01

Mount Etna Trek, Lava Cave, and Valle Del Bove

Pick-up from the meeting point in Catania.
Enjoy an easy-going trek on Mount Etna at about 2,000 metres above sea level, where you will explore ancient and recently formed craters and admire the whole Ionian coastline from above. This trekking experience is suitable for most fitness levels.
Explore a typical lava cave formed during past eruptions.
Visit Valle Del Bove (Valley of the Ox), a huge caldera formed as a result of the collapse of some ancient craters.
End with a pleasurable interlude at a family-run beekeeping business and honey-extracting lab, where you will taste a selection of honey, wines, extra-virgin olive oils, and other typical Etna produce.
