Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Cusco City and Archaeological Sites

Transfer from the airport to the hotel and refresh.
We will start by visiting the Main Square, the largest in pre-Columbian America, and Cusco Cathedral to appreciate the beauty of its art and colonial architecture.
Head to the archaeological sites around Cusco, such as Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and Q'enqo.
Visit the megalithic construction of Sacsayhuamán, the most important Andean temple erected in Cusco in the 14th century.
After finishing our tour, we return to the hotel.

Day 02

Písac, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo

In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel in our private van and drive to the town of Písac, where we will visit the Písac Archaeological Complex.
After visiting the area, we will have time to spend in the traditional market of Písac, famous for its great variety of textiles, pottery, and other goods.
Then we go to the locality of Urubamba, where we will have lunch in a typical restaurant and enjoy a buffet.
Proceed to visit the imposing Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo, the "Living Inca City" and "Royal House of the Sun".
At the end of our tour, we will stay overnight in a hotel in Ollantaytambo.

Day 03

Sacred Valley Train Journey and Wiñay Wayna Hike

We take the early morning train from Ollantaytambo through the picturesque Sacred Valley, where we begin to walk.
Our hike continues gently upward for more than three hours until we reach the beautiful Inca complex of Wiñay Wayna. In this part of the trail, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic sub-tropical landscapes, with singular flora and fauna surrounding us.
As we continue for 2 hours to reach the Sun Gate, we will have our first sight of Machu Picchu.
We walk down past the majestic archaeological complex, then take the bus to Aguas Calientes to spend a relaxing night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 04

Machu Picchu Visit and Return to Cusco

After an early wake-up and breakfast, we take the bus ride up to Machu Picchu, where we marvel at its fantastic architecture.
Visit the mysterious temples left by the Andean masters and specialized stonemasons. A professional guide will help us understand the sophisticated technology of this highly advanced culture.
Return to Ollantaytambo by train.
Drive to Cusco.
