Take a marvellous walk through the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, both buried by the ashes of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Explore Pompeii's remarkably preserved public buildings, homes, and shops, then continue to Herculaneum, a smaller but better-preserved site. While Pompeii was covered by four to five metres of ash, Herculaneum was buried under an avalanche of mud about 20 metres thick.

Day 01

Revisit Ancient Pompeii

This two-hour tour of Pompeii allows an in-depth view of the western part of the ancient town, where the most important public buildings, homes, and shops are located.
A walk in Pompeii is a very intense experience; you'll have the feeling of wandering through a living town.
Explore the area, understand its historical significance, and visit the Marina Gate, the Basilica (courthouse), the Forum (main square), the Forum Baths, the Lupanar (brothel), the bakery, the House of the Faun, the Termopolium Capuano, the House of the Tragic Poet, and the plaster casts.

Day 02

Discover the Ruins of Herculaneum

Enjoy an excellent walk through the city of Herculaneum, home to the Temple of the Augustales, the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found, the thermal baths, the forum, the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, the Samnite House, the gymnasium, the House of the Deer, and much more.
It is still possible to see second stories, carbonized wooden objects, intact paintings, and mosaics at this site.
