2-Day Chengdu and Leshan Hiking Tour with Emeishan Monastery Stay

You will first visit the Leshan Grand Buddha after arriving. The Leshan Grand Buddha is by far the biggest stone Buddha statue in the world. It was built around 1,200 years ago and is a stunning artwork by ancient Chinese constructors.

The visit to the Buddha park usually takes about 2 hours of walking, although a shorter boat trip is recommended for this tour as it saves time.

After the visit, continue driving to Emeishan and start walking after a bus ride provided by the park.

First, go to Wannian Temple and start your walk from there. To get to Wannian Temple, a cable car ride is recommended.

After a 4-5 hour walk, reach Xixiang Pond, where you will spend the night in the monastery. The temple provides accommodation with basic amenities.

You will start walking in the morning for 4-5 hours before reaching the summit of Emeishan. Along the way, you may encounter monkeys and see many plantations of different kinds.

The top of Emeishan usually attracts lots of visitors.

After a short stay at the summit of Emeishan, use the cable car and bus to go down to the base of Emeishan and then drive back to Chengdu.
