Day 01

Medici Chapels and San Lorenzo Discovery

• Enter the museum with your Italian tour guide and visit the crypt. Some of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany, together with their wives, are buried here, along with the less illustrious members of the Medici family.
• See many masterpieces of art by Ghirlandaio, Della Robbia, Perugino, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Sansovino, as well as works in gold and miniatures.
• Explore Michelangelo's famous statues depicting Day and Night, and Dawn and Dusk.
• Visit San Lorenzo Church, the parish church of the Medici family. It was rebuilt by Filippo Brunelleschi and decorated by Donatello.
