Florence Fashion Museums and Boboli Gardens
Meet your Italian tour guide at Piazza Santa Trinita, beneath the Colonna della Giustizia.
Begin at the Ferragamo Museum, where you will discover the full story of Salvatore Ferragamo's work, from his return from the United States to Italy in 1927 until his death, and hear many interesting stories about this renowned fashion house.
Visit Palazzo Pitti to see the magnificent Costume Gallery. Here, you will find approximately six thousand pieces, including ancient and modern clothing, accessories, and theatre costumes. It is considered the only museum dedicated to the history of fashion in Italy and one of the most important of its kind.
Stop by the Museo degli Argenti, or Silver Museum, to admire its jewelry collections from the Medici and Lorraine families. The most important piece to see here is the 'Scaramazza Pearl' of Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, the last of the Medici dynasty.
The tour ends with an introduction to the Boboli Gardens, the famous Italian garden.
