Quito Historic Center Highlights

Meeting point: The park is located in front of the National Basilica.

  • Visit the exterior of the National Basilica and admire its stunning facade. If you want to live the adventure, you can climb up into the massive tall towers and reach the heavens.
  • Visit the Camilo Egas Museum, dedicated to the pioneer of Indigenist and modern art in Ecuador in the early 20th century.
  • Visit the impressive Palace of the Army, inaugurated in 1936 as a social club and now converted into a museum. Despite its splendid interiors and luxury, this place hides a dark story.
  • Enter the Archbishop's Palace, where we will discover traditional ice creams, sweets, and delicacies typical of Quito.
  • Explore the Main Square and the Metropolitan Cultural Center, once the Jesuit University.
  • Stroll along the Street of the Seven Crosses.
  • Visit the Society of Jesus Church, famous for its interior covered with gold.
