Day 01

Abra Malaga Descent to Santa Maria

  • Pick up from the hostel at 7:30 am.

  • Take the bus to the village of Ollantaytambo and enjoy local village life.

  • Travel to Abra Malaga and then descend to Los Pinos.

  • Arrive at Huamanmarca.

  • Travel by car to the village of Santa Maria for lunch and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Jungle Hike to Quellomayo and Santa Teresa

  • Begin the hike by ascending to the middle of the mountain to appreciate the jungle valley.

  • Look out for a huge variety of local flora and fauna.

  • Visit the banana, coffee, and orange plantations.

  • Travel to Quellomayo for lunch.

  • Head to Qocalmayo Thermal Bath.

  • Proceed to Santa Teresa.

Day 03

Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu

  • Walk to the hydroelectric section and enter the Sanctuary.

  • Travel to Aguas Calientes.

  • Have dinner and visit the sacred city of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Exploration and Return to Cusco

  • Begin the ascent to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

  • Explore the main buildings and important temples in the city.

  • Visit the Sun Gate or the Inca Bridge.

  • Proceed to Waynapicchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.

  • Return to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo.

  • Travel to Cusco.
