Rome by Night from Piazza Venezia to Trastevere
We begin the tour on foot and, if needed, by using public transportation.
We will pass by many churches of Rome, the Aurelian Walls, and the Palatine and Capitoline Hills, where all the stories of Rome started and where you'll enjoy a historical panorama over the Roman Republican and Imperial Forum, the stage of 2,700 years of triumphal marches, sacrifices, political meetings, elections, fighting, revolutions, murders, and conspiracies. We will also see Piazza Venezia, where we will view the Victor Emanuel and the Unknown Soldier memorials, Mussolini's Balcony, Napoleone Bonaparte's Palace, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona.
Then, we move towards Campo de' Fiori, where Julius Caesar was assassinated and where the philosopher Giordano Bruno was sentenced to death by the Inquisition, Piazza Farnese, and the old Jewish area. From there, we reach Tiber Island, where we'll cross the Tiber River and arrive in the colorful area named Trastevere, the heart of today's Roman Dolce Vita, full of some of the best trattorias and pizzerias in Rome.
