Itinerary

1. Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Santa Maria – Huancacalle – Pillaupata – Chupana Camp

   • Pick up from the hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m.

   • Drive through Ollantaytambo, Santa Maria, and remote Andean villages toward Huancacalle.

   • Arrive in Huancacalle at 3,123 meters and meet the horsemen.

   • Load trekking equipment onto horses for transport to the campsite.

   • Visit the archaeological sites of Vitcos Rosaspata and Nusta Hispana.
