Rome Architecture and Caravaggio Walking Tour

  • Start the tour by visiting Santa Maria del Popolo, an Augustinian church.

  • Visit the narrow meandering alleys and small piazzas of Via del Corso.

  • Proceed to visit Ara Pacis and the Mausoleum Augusti, dedicated to Pax, the Roman Goddess of Peace.

  • Discover Sant' Agostino Church, one of the first Roman churches built during the Renaissance.

  • Head to San Luigi dei Francesi Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, St. Denis the Areopagite, and St. Louis IX, King of France.

  • Continue to see Navona Square, also known as Piazza Navona. In the 1st century AD, this area used to be the platform to watch the agones (games).
