  • From Monday to Friday, the experience will be conducted in Spanish.
  • Participants must have some hiking experience.
  • It is a full-day trip, as the drive takes 3.5 hours each way from Quito.
  • If you get motion sickness, let us know in advance so we can assist you and provide remedies.
  • If you'd like to add a stop to visit an indigenous family's art gallery, please let us know. We would be happy to include the stop.
  • Wear warm clothes and layers. The crater lake area is at a high elevation, which means it can be chilly, windy, and sometimes rainy. It's best to be prepared.
  • There may be occasions when our pets join us for this experience, especially on weekends, so please let us know if you are comfortable with that.
  • We recommend following all of the guides' instructions. We are not responsible if you make decisions that put your life in danger, such as continuing by yourself in bad weather, not wearing a helmet, not using the thermal blanket, or not carrying enough water.
