Porto Food Walk and Pastel de Nata Workshop
Meet your local guide directly at your accommodation in Porto's city centre.
From there, enjoy a relaxed, food-focused walking tour through the historic centre, discovering local life and traditional flavours along the way. The walk includes stops at selected local venues, such as:
Mercado do Bolhão, Porto's most iconic food market, to explore local products and culinary traditions
Traditional pastry shops and bakeries, where you will taste typical Portuguese salgados such as bolinhos de bacalhau, rissóis, or other savoury specialties
Additional local spots to sample authentic flavours and learn about everyday Portuguese food culture
Throughout the walk, your guide will share insights into Porto's gastronomy, food traditions, and daily life, while exploring charming streets and hidden corners of the city before reaching the workshop location.
2:30 PM - Pastel de Nata Workshop (approx. 2 hours)
The main experience begins with a hands-on Pastel de Nata baking workshop in a local kitchen.
Guided by a professional local baker, participants will:
Learn the history and secrets behind Portugal's most famous pastry
Prepare the custard cream and work with the pastry dough
Bake and taste their own freshly made Pastel de Nata
During the workshop, enjoy a glass of Port wine while immersing yourself in Porto's culinary traditions and relaxed atmosphere.
No previous baking experience is required. All ingredients, equipment, and materials are provided.
The experience ends at the workshop location in central Porto.
