Echoing with the bushman clicks of the Wahadzabe and Datoga tribespeople, the valley of Lake Eyasi sits sandwiched between the volcanic ridges of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the rising Kidero Mountains to the south. A place of outstanding natural beauty, the lake draws travellers with attractions different to the usual big game rigmarole of this corner of Tanzania. For one, people flock here for the sweeping panoramas of undulating mountains as the Serengeti Plateau gives way to the swamps and river lands of the Rift Valley.
