Karachi is the financial and commercial capital of Pakistan, as well as its largest port. Aside from great food, a rich culture, and breathtaking architecture, many popular attractions in and around Karachi plays host as tourist destinations. The beaches of this region are the major attraction for tourists. The city’s long coastline offers up beautiful beaches, some on the outskirts teeming with wild life. Some of the most popular beaches include Hawke's Bay Beach, Paradise Point, French Beach and Nathiagali Beach. Karachi also has access to several islands including Oyster Rocks, Bundle Islands, Minora Island and Churna Island which are accessible by ferries or boats.
There are also many great museums to enjoy; ask your Karachi tour guide to show you around the more famous ones such as the National Museum of Pakistan, the official Pakistan Air Force Museum, and the Pakistan Maritime Museum. For a current feel of the city, do take a walk around. You will definitely come across some of the 660 preserved buildings from the colonial period that are interspersed with the modern buildings . For the nature lover you should visit some of the nature parks and preserves like Bagh Ibne Qasim, Karachi Zoo, Safari Park, and Bagh-e-Jinnah. The Kirthar National Park located on the beautiful Kirthar Range Mountains is a perfect getaway for the nature lover. In the park you may spot hyenas, wolves, a wide array of birds, ratels, urials, all manner of insects, Indian gazelles, and wild goats.
