Genghis Khan Statue Complex and Terelj National Park
Meet your tour guide at your hotel at 9 am and begin the drive to the Genghis Khan Statue Complex.
Explore the statue complex and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the statue. The Genghis Khan Statue Complex is currently the world's biggest equestrian statue at 40 m high. It is connected to Ulaanbaatar by a paved road of 54 km. A recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, visitors can use an elevator or walk through the horse's chest and neck to reach the head, where they can take in far-reaching views over the complex area.
Continue to Terelj National Park and have lunch at a ger camp. The national park is popular among locals for its natural beauty, surrounded by forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations.
Visit Turtle Rock formation, also called Melkhi Khad by the locals, an interesting giant rock formation that looks like a turtle. It is a popular spot for visitors to the area.
Ride a camel or travel on horseback through the scenic natural surroundings.
Hike to Ariyabal Meditation Temple, situated in the scenic area of Terelj National Park, 3 km from Turtle Rock. The temple is surrounded by scenic mountains with interesting rock formations and sits on top of the mountain. The gate entrance is accessible by car, hiking, or on horseback.
Return to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel around 6 pm.
