- Dedicated to Saint Cecilia and the Virgin Mary, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Between the historic Palazzo Regio (or Viceregio), formerly the palace of the representative of the monarch and now the headquarters of the Prefecture, and the old Palazzo di Città, the cathedral lies in Piazza Palazzo in the renowned mediaeval neighbourhood of Castello, one of Cagliari's key districts.
- The St. Pancras Tower, near San Pancrazio Tower, was constructed to defend Castello's northern flank from the growing threat posed by Aragon. Its walls are made of substantial limestone blocks. It is now accessible to the public via the nearby Palazzo delle Seziate after meticulous restoration.
