Discover Vernazza's Harbour, Church, and Panoramic Views
- We will begin high above the hamlet in front of the 17th-century ex-Saint Francis Monastery. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with an unparalleled view of the multicoloured houses of Vernazza, the deep blue sea, and the lush green vineyards that surround the town.
- We will then make our way down to the picturesque harbour, where we can watch the fishermen bring in their catch and see the boats bobbing on the water. We will also pass by the small seafood restaurants, or "trattorie", where you can enjoy the atmosphere of Vernazza's local culinary scene.
- Next, we will visit the church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, a beautiful 14th-century church with a unique architectural style. We will admire its ornate details, as well as the art and sculptures inside.
- As we continue our tour, we will come across Torre Belforte, an early 13th-century Genovese defensive tower that stands tall at the end of the harbour. This tower offers a panoramic view of Vernazza and the Mediterranean Sea, making it a must-visit stop on our tour.
- Finally, we will make our way back to the main square, where we can sit and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of this charming town. We will end our tour with memories of the stunning views, delicious food, and rich history that Vernazza has to offer.
