- Meet your Rome tour guide early morning and head out for your tour of the Vatican Museums.
- Enter at 8 am and, once inside, get tickets and headsets.
- Head towards the magnificent galleries, which, at that time, are mostly empty. Other groups will race forward to reach the Sistine Chapel. Instead, you will explore the museums before they open to the general public:
- Hall of Candelabra
- Hall of Tapestries
- Hall of Maps
- Make a stop at the incredible Raphael Rooms.
- From there, follow a forced path through the contemporary art sections.
- Make it to the Sistine Chapel before it gets too crowded.
- Head towards St Peter's Basilica before the museum opens to the general public and the crowds reach the Chapel painted by Michelangelo (unless it is closed due to religious services). This is probably the most incredible temple of Christianity in the world.
